The best mornings start the night before. If you're anything like us, the 7am rush is real — and reaching into the fridge for a ready-made breakfast that actually tastes amazing is one of life's small joys.
These Strawberry & Blueberry Overnight Oats come together in under 5 minutes, and they are absolutely packed with the season's last summer berries. Topped with a drizzle of our Bee Brew Craft Honey, they taste like dessert — but they're genuinely good for you. Make a batch for the whole week!
What You'll Need
Fresh Produce
- 1 punnet Strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1 punnet Blueberries
- 1–2 tbsp Bee Brew Craft Honey, to taste
The Oat Base (per jar)
- ½ cup Rolled Oats (not instant)
- ½ cup Milk of choice (dairy, oat, almond — all work)
- ¼ cup Greek Yoghurt (adds creaminess and protein)
- 1 tbsp Chia Seeds
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- Pinch of Salt
Optional Toppings
- Toasted Coconut Flakes
- Granola, for crunch
- Sliced Banana
How to Make It
In a jar or airtight container, combine the rolled oats, milk, Greek yoghurt, chia seeds, vanilla, and a pinch of salt. Stir everything together until well combined. The chia seeds will look sparse now, but they'll swell overnight to create a gorgeous thick, pudding-like texture.
Slice a few strawberries and push them down into the oat mixture so the juices bleed in and flavour the oats overnight. This step is optional, but it makes the whole jar taste like strawberries from the very first spoonful.
Seal the jar and place it in the fridge. Leave it for at least 6 hours — overnight is perfect. The oats will absorb the liquid and soften completely. Give it a stir in the morning; if it's too thick, add a splash more milk to loosen it up.
In the morning, pile the fresh strawberries and blueberries generously on top. Drizzle over the Bee Brew Craft Honey and add any optional toppings you like. Eat straight from the jar — no washing up required!
💡 Chef's Tips
Batch It Up: This recipe scales up perfectly. Make 4–5 jars on Sunday night and you have breakfast sorted for the whole working week. The oats keep well in the fridge for up to 4 days.
Use the Best Berries: Perth strawberries and blueberries are genuinely some of the best in Australia. The flavour difference between fresh, local berries and supermarket ones is remarkable — especially when the fruit is the hero of the dish.
Frozen Berries Work Too: Mix frozen blueberries directly into the oat base before refrigerating. They thaw overnight and release their juice into the oats — absolutely beautiful.
Dairy-Free Version: Swap the Greek yoghurt for coconut yoghurt and use oat milk. Every bit as creamy and delicious.
